How To Gain Customer Trust And Why Is It So Important?
Have you ever experienced an impeccable service and wanted to come back to the shop or place again? Chances are that the company knows how to gain your trust! And that's why you have decided to visit the place again or purchase something else they have to offer.
From an entrepreneur's point of view, gaining customer trust can be one of the best ways to organically boost your sales! Being someone who knows everything about your customer and is always there to help them makes all the difference in the business world! These days customers are picky when it comes to buying things. Why does it happen? Simply because there are millions of options on the market and people want to make sure they spend their own money on the best option available.

Speaking about the importance of this interesting thing called "customer trust", every successful entrepreneur will tell you this is an essential thing!

  • It makes people come back to you;

  • it provides a customer with more than just a product but an impeccable service as well, and, most importantly,

  • people talk about your brand in a positive way, they share their experience with their family and friends, so as a result, more people know about your business!

And now let's move on to the actual ways of how to gain customer trust. Here is the list of 7 things we find useful when building a business or a brand:
1. Introduce yourself and tell your story. People always want to know more about people behind their favorite brands, it's a very natural thing. Introduce yourself; tell the story of how you got to the point that you are in right now; show a bit of "behind the scenes" materials; and, it is really crucial, tell the story of your brand! What motivated you to start this business? What is the mission of your brand? Why is it so important to you that you started the business? How can you help the customer? You can make a video introduction and put it on your website! We have a separate article on how create one. Check it out!

2. Get to know your target audience better. Okay, once your customer knows who you are and what you do, it is time for you to know about your customer! Conduct a research to know a bit about current trends and things people are interested in. This way you can make your product even better and provide your customer with better service as well.

3. What about customer service? By providing great customer service you are more likely to gain customer trust. If you treat your customer's needs as your own, if you give them full support, if you prioritize them, you are doing the right thing! If the customer feels like your team and you have gone above and beyond, then they're far likelier to come back and then recommend you to their friends and family.

4. Be open to communicate with your customer. In addition to the previous tip, show your communication skills: listen to your customer, offer different solutions to their problems and never say "no". Kindness is the best solution to any problem.

5. Create easy and accessible "How-to" video for your product. Nobody knows your product better than you do. By creating a video like that you make sure everyone knows about your product everything they have to know, and somehow it brings you closer to your audience.

6. Start sharing reviews. Don't hesitate to post a couple of real reviews on your website. When people read different opinions, they start analyzing. Keep in mind that posting only positive reviews may seem a bit suspicious. People make mistakes. If you made a mistake but then took the matters in your own hands and changed it, people are more likely to trust you. It means you are loyal and treat your customer with respect!

7. Honesty and transparency is the key factor. Don't lie to your customer. Yes, it is that simple. Nobody likes liars, doesn't they? Besides, it would be incredibly rude to pay your own money for a lie. Try to imagine that you are your customer, how would you treat yourself? Yes, with respect, you are absolutely right.

All of these steps are crucial when it comes to having a successful business. Take a look at them once again and decide for yourself which of them you have to implement in your business. If you are already using these techniques in your business, congratulations, you are a great entrepreneur!
